Update

Throttle Operating Mode Safety Notice โ€“ Jupiter X1 Series

To further improve rider safety, we have updated the throttle operating settings on all 72V Jupiter X1 Series eBikes.

After extensive safety evaluations and customer feedback, the A08 throttle mode setting has been locked and can no longer be adjusted by users.

Why Is the Throttle Gear Mode Locked?

The Jupiter X1 is a high-performance 72V eBike with powerful acceleration. For improved control and safer riding, the throttle is designed to work within the selected PAS (Pedal Assist System) level rather than delivering unrestricted power at all times.

This design provides several important safety benefits:

  • Smoother acceleration, reducing the chance of unexpected power surges.
  • Better low-speed control in parking lots, bike paths, crowded areas, and when starting from a stop.
  • Improved traction, especially on wet, loose, or uneven surfaces.
  • Greater confidence for new riders by limiting acceleration to the selected assist level.
  • Enhanced overall riding safety, particularly on a high-voltage 72V performance eBike.

Throttle Disabled at Startup

By default, the bike powers on with PAS Level 0, where the throttle is disabled.

This safety feature helps prevent accidental throttle activation if the throttle is unintentionally twisted while powering on, moving the bike, or walking beside it, significantly reducing the risk of unintended movement or injury.

For Riders Who Prefer Full-Time Throttle

If this operating mode does not match your riding preference, you may contact our customer support to purchase an alternative controller that enables a non-PAS-dependent throttle mode.

However, we strongly recommend using the factory-installed controller and default throttle configuration, as it has been carefully designed and tested to provide the highest level of rider safety while maintaining excellent riding performance.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping us make every ride safer.

If you have purchased a Jupiter X1 72V series e-bike and need instructions for the display, you can click the link here to download or view the guide. We hope you enjoy your ride and have a great experience with your e-bike!

Please pay attention here that our charger only has one indicator light which is red when charging and turns green when charging is completed.

Please check the newly updated manual for Bee Adventurer/Explorer and we have corrected the key usage as there are some mistakes for the key instruction on page 26 before.

Our after-sale email address has been changed into customer@beecoolbikes.com

If you find there is a red or black button on the battery cap like the one in the picture here, it is a battery security switch to cut off the battery power. Once it is turned on, the battery will work as normal but once it is turned off, the battery will be cut down and no power will come out of the battery.

Some customers may get Bee Challenger with the following display which is the upgraded version of the present one. This one is a motor-style display blending in the Bee Challenger's design more naturally with better brightness and definition but only limited number released now. If you get one like this, it is totally a lucky random! But later, this may be a default setting for all coming Bee Challenger.

Some bikes may arrive with tail-light wire connected but some may come with the wire unconnected. If the tail-light wire is unconnected, you need to find its plug and reconnect it. Here is a picture about where you can find this wire plug.

As several customers reported to us that the password setting can't be reset once you forget the password and the whole display need to be replaced if you forget the passwords, so we cancel the password setting function on our Bee Challenger model.

Please check the newly updated manual for Bee Pathfinder series and we have corrected the key usage as there are some mistakes for the key instruction on page 26 before.

Please pay attention to the front wheel assembly of Ranger on Page 9 in the manual. The front wheel assembly of Ranger is different as it does not have a quick release lever but self-tightening bolts & washers.
