Why Do You Need A Floating Disc?
The emergence of floating discs is to solve the problem of continuous frictional temperature rise of the discs, due to thermal expansion and contraction, if it is a one-piece disc, the temperature of the center and the edge of the disc will be different, and the degree of expansion will be different, generates internal tension, causes the disc to deform, and brake failure. Generally speaking, the floating disc is connected by rivets with two materials. This connection is non-rigid and has a certain amount of freedom. On the one hand, it reduces heat transfer and on the other hand, it solves the internal problem. Stress problem, so it is relatively stable. Theoretically, thermal attenuation is related to the high-temperature resistance of the material. The floating disk will not reduce the thermal attenuation. However, if the material and design of the disk are optimized and the heat dissipation capacity is strengthened, the anti-attenuation ability will be improved!
